JoinedInCare
JoinedInCare is a collaborative platform for sharing knowledge, ideas, and good practices in the fields of care and social inclusion. It began as an initiative of the Bulgarian software company Bulbera and is now developed and managed by AZPM Ltd., with the active involvement of Zhenya Atanasova, former co-founder of Bulbera and initiator of multiple social projects and causes.
The platform builds on its original focus on elderly care and today places strong emphasis on intergenerational connection, mutual support, and the creation of equal opportunities for development and employment. At the same time, JoinedInCare provides easy and structured access to information about elderly care homes and home care agencies, supporting families and caregivers in making informed decisions.
JoinedInCare actively participates in national and international social initiatives and projects. One of the most recent is Caring Communities, a project focused on building sustainable, supportive communities and developing new models of care and social inclusion, implemented within the Danube region.
During its early development by the Bulbera team, JoinedInCare received important public recognition. In 2022, the platform was awarded for social innovation in the Innovative Enterprise of the Year competition in Bulgaria, recognized by the European Commission as a good national practice. The award confirmed the platform’s social relevance and its potential for long-term, sustainable impact.
At its current stage, JoinedInCare is developing as an open collaboration platform. It promotes intergenerational initiatives and encourages the exchange of experience between different communities and organizations.
The platform supports the social and professional inclusion of young people with special educational needs, with a focus on real opportunities rather than symbolic participation. JoinedInCare showcases and helps develop meaningful Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) practices. It also creates opportunities for joint and active involvement of companies, organizations, institutions, and volunteers in socially impactful initiatives in Bulgaria.
Our goal is for JoinedInCare to be a space where good ideas gain visibility, find partners, and grow into sustainable models that can be adapted, replicated, and further developed across different organizations and communities – primarily in Bulgaria, but with relevance beyond national borders.
